Advance Program Website

Engineering a Hub for Clinical Transformation

The Challenge: Communicating a 5-Year, 13-Hospital Evolution

The Advance Program represents one of the most significant digital shifts in Fraser Health’s history — a multi-year transition from paper-based records to a sophisticated Clinical Information System. The challenge was to create a centralized digital home that could demystify "21st-century healthcare" for a diverse audience, ensuring that 40,000+ staff members and the general public felt informed, safe, and engaged throughout the rollout.

The Strategy: User-Centric Design & Data-Driven Governance

I led the end-to-end development of the Advance public website, serving as the bridge between clinical leadership, technical developers, and the end-user. My approach focused on creating a transparent, accessible narrative that highlighted the safety and consistency benefits of digitized care.

Key Contributions & Leadership

  • UX/UI Orchestration: Partnered with designers to architect the site’s "look and feel," utilizing Figma to prototype and test user journeys that simplified complex medical concepts.

  • Visual Identity & Asset Management: Directed a localized clinical photoshoot to build a proprietary photo bank, ensuring the site reflected the authentic faces of our frontline staff and patients.

  • Content & Narrative Strategy: Authored all primary web content, translating technical IT milestones into human-centric benefits in collaboration with the Communications Lead.

  • Technical Oversight & UAT: Managed User Acceptance Testing and iterative edits via Jira, ensuring a seamless, bug-free launch that met rigorous health authority standards.

  • Sustainability & Governance: Post-launch, I institutionalized the site’s success by building a comprehensive content plan, a governance framework, and an analytics schedule to track stakeholder engagement.

The Result: A Unified Digital Voice

The Advance website served as the authoritative source for Fraser Health’s digital evolution, reducing misinformation and providing a clear roadmap for the future of patient care.
